It's official. We're in bear market territory. The Dow has officially dipped below 20% off of its highs.
This is the official way of declaring a bear market. Undoubtedly, pessimism has sank in. Heck, you can tell by how much I have been updating this site. Nevertheless, when others are fearful, you can often find the best values out there. It's just a matter of sifting through the trash and finding the treasure.
Many stocks have been thrown out with the bathwater. Investors have either just given up on the market as a whole and are selling everything; others are forced to sell due to margin calls. Either way, undoubtedly there are some bargains out there. It is just a matter of finding them.
